Outstanding customer service and local knowledge were just some of the key attributes in selecting the ‘Business of the Year’ winners at the CRT National Conference in Adelaide.
The award recognises professionalism, customer service, support for staff, suppliers, fellow CRT ‘Local Blokes’, and a commitment to the community.
Farmcraft, Kalbar, in Queensland, led the way, taking home the prestigious CRT National Business of the Year Award for 2014.
Earlier, Farmcraft Managing Director, Alistair Ross, walked off the Adelaide Convention Centre stage with the CRT Queensland Business of the Year award for the second consecutive year.
Alistair took the opportunity to acknowledge his staff and family.
“My father started the business 22 years ago. I can’t thank him enough for the opportunities he gave me,’’ Alistair said.
“We have been with CRT for 21 years and we haven’t looked back. It is a credit to Dad.”
James Nott, CRT State Manager – NSW & QLD, said Farmcraft, Kalbar, is a “leader” in the CRT family.
“Their branding and support of CRT is exceptional and their staff have the same fantastic attitude and approach,’’ Mr Nott said.
“This is a business that will drop everything to give customers a hand and the fact that, year in year out, they are a finalist in our awards shows they have a business of exceptional quality.
“CRT in Qld has built its success on the back of a group of exceptional stores, none more so than this business.
“Alistair and his team never sit still. They have always had a focus on understanding how the business can be improved and it is this attitude that has seen them raise the Queensland award standard to a new level.”
