Our Business
CRT was formed in 1970 at the Canobolas Hotel in Orange (NSW) by a small group of locals determined to get a better deal for the region’s independent rural retailers and their farming customers.
Today, that original member base of six has evolved into Australia's largest group of independent rural retailers and one of the country's most progressive agribusinesses.
Our iconic business services all major sectors of the rural industry.
The local knowledge of CRT's retailers and their ability to source the right products to get the job done has contributed strongly to CRT's reputation for consistent service and reliability.
CRT retailers cater to specific local needs and offer a suite of tailored services and facilities to suit the local market.
Rural producers can also access the expertise of CRT’s 240-strong national agronomy network. Working closely with CRT retailers, our experienced agronomists provide a complete agronomic advisory service to help farmers maximise their returns. On-farm advice, access to the latest trial site information, industry trends and developments are just some of the services available.
At local and national level, CRT and its 'Local Blokes' are involved in a wide range of activities to assist rural and regional communities. Giving back to the communities who support us is an important aspect of who we are at CRT and our Local Blokes are proud of the contribution they make everyday to rural communities across Australia.
CRT is a division of Ruralco Holdings Limited.
